Date Posted:07/23/2018 7:18 PMCopy HTML dane, Clyde was pts on my birthday in 2008. Tomorrow is my birthday and Lilly is quickly going downhill. Talking to vet about pts and will bury her on my son's land. She's been pretty peppy, lately and still gets on her sofa. One eye is showing her third eyelid this morning and she looks beat. You guys know how this feels. please help me be strong for Lilly. Thanks. Where there's a will;there's a way!

Re:Making plans for Lilly to go home to God Date Posted:07/23/2018 11:26 PMCopy HTML Rhonda, I am so sorry to hear this. You are right. We have all been here. And no, it doesn't get any easier. You have always been strong for Lilly. You don't need us to help you here. You gave her the loving home she deserves. You will give her the dignified end when the time is right. Lilly is lucky to have you.

Re:Making plans for Lilly to go home to God Date Posted:07/24/2018 12:20 AMCopy HTML Phonda I am so sorry the time is near. Most of us have had to make that decision for the pet family member we love. You will know when the time is right and Lilly will count on you to make that decision. It takes a strong person to put their loved ones need in front of our need to not let them leave us. You know we are your strength support but know you are the real strength when it comes to your love for Lilly, love jeri My Funny Girl

Re:Making plans for Lilly to go home to God Date Posted:07/24/2018 12:03 PMCopy HTML Rhonda. I am so sorry to hear that the time is near. As the others have said it takes a great deal of love to put the Lillie's needs above your own. Many of us have suffered the pain of letting one of our big guys go. It is not easy but with God's help we get through it. We replace the hurt with memories of the wonderful times we had with the Dane. They stay in our hearts forever. Thank you for putting Lilly first.

Re:Making plans for Lilly to go home to God Date Posted:07/30/2018 1:31 AMCopy HTML She went peacefully at the vet's office, yesterday. I was laying on the floor next to her back with my arms around her. God bless that sweet, goofy baby. I will be with all of my danes again some day. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Re:Making plans for Lilly to go home to God Date Posted:07/30/2018 8:40 PMCopy HTML Hey Rhonda,
Just found the Board again and I'm so so sorry for your loss of sweet Lilli. Unfortunately we cannot prolong their time when things start going bad for them and you absolutely did the right thing in letting her be free of her pains. I still think of Ida Marie every day and I know you will do this with Ms. Lilli. You gave her love and a great home and what more can any dog ask for. Sending gentle hugs and slobber from Bean.
If you want the best seat in the house, you'll have to move the dog.
